Social Media Strategy and Management

Ellucian originally approached Alloy Communications for help taking their external-facing social channels in a new direction. With a well-established social presence that included multiple handles across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and LinkedIn, Ellucian sought a fresh, more focused approach to social media that better aligned with their overall communications goals.

Having already managed Ellucian’s traditional media and thought leadership efforts, Alloy was in a unique position to help. We set out to not just mirror Ellucian’s media and content marketing activities, but amplify their impact.

Alloy conducted an audit of Ellucian’s social presence backed by clear engagement metrics on what was working and what could use a new approach. Armed with data on top-performing content, Alloy helped Ellucian focus their social media presence on messaging and posts that would move the needle among target audiences. 

Today, social media helps drive Ellucian’s larger marketing goals instead of being a simple "check the box" add-on. By taking a deliberate, metrics-based approach to social media, backed by Alloy's integrated communications expertise, we were able to execute a new strategic social program that made a meaningful impact, fast.
