GTY Technology was formed when six cloud-based, public sector-focused companies came together to deliver a modern, digital solution set for state and local citizen engagement. With each business serving a separate government need, from budgeting to grants management to digital payments and more, GTY sought to supercharge its thought leadership with increased trade media coverage.
Alloy Communications proposed a strategic thought leadership and media relations program that would provide focused third-party visibility and credibility to each individual business unit, as well as GTY Technology as a whole.
We started by conducting a deep-dive review of GTY and its business units’ existing content and media activities. Then, we interviewed GTY executives and leaders from each business unit to uncover their unique points of view on trending topics.
Armed with fresh insights, we developed a new strategic plan to maximize and extend existing content while turning up the dial on media outreach. The approach has paid off quickly, with a large, measurable increase in media visibility among target publications across business units.
